Adriana Placani is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA) at the Nova University of Lisbon. Her previous academic positions include Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Political Philosophy of the University of Graz (Austria); Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) in Nantes (France); Research Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) in Sofia (Bulgaria); and Visiting Scholar at Columbia University Law School in New York (USA).
Adriana's research focuses on ethics (normative and applied), political philosophy, and legal philosophy, with current projects on AI ethics, the ethics of risk, moral responsibility, and climate change ethics.
